By creating an account or using FrenchDirect ("the app"), you agree to these terms. The app is operated by Gurdarshan Singh, Manitoba, Canada.

The service

FrenchDirect provides French-learning content — lessons, flashcards, dictionaries, quizzes, and an AI Tutor — in English, Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati, and Filipino. Free accounts access limited content; a Premium subscription unlocks the full catalogue.

Subscriptions & billing

• Premium is sold as auto-renewing subscriptions (monthly and 3-month plans). Prices are shown in the app before purchase and may vary by country.
• Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends.
• Cancel anytime in your store's subscription settings (also reachable from Account → Manage Subscription in the app). Premium remains active until the end of the paid period; no further charges occur.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies; we cannot issue them directly.

AI Tutor

The AI Tutor is an automated language model with a daily message limit. Replies are generated automatically and may occasionally be inaccurate — it's a learning aid, not professional instruction. Don't submit sensitive personal information.

Acceptable use & content protection

You agree not to misuse the app, including attempting to bypass content protection or subscription checks, sharing one account across many people or devices, reverse-engineering, or scraping content. Our content is protected: the app blocks or detects screenshots and screen recording of premium material, and capturing or redistributing content is prohibited. Repeated capture, sharing, or redistribution may result in your account being restricted or terminated, and may lead to legal action. One account is intended for one learner; device-change limits apply.

Content & intellectual property

All app content (lessons, translations, pronunciations, dictionaries, design) is owned by FrenchDirect or its licensors and provided for your personal, non-commercial learning use only.

Disclaimers & liability

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the preceding three months. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable consumer law.

Account deletion & termination

You may delete your account anytime from Account → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Changes & governing law

We may update these terms; material changes appear here with a new effective date. These terms are governed by the laws of Manitoba, Canada. Questions: support@frenchdirect.app.
